My day started with my alarm going off at 4:45AM. I took a quick shower and I was off to LAX. I was all packed so getting ready was easy.
I flew on Continental primarily because of their surfboard policy. They allow for 2 surfboards in 1 bag for $100. Not good but better than the rest of the domestic airlines. The kicker is if you have three boards in a bag they can charge $400 each way. So, at the last minute i decided not to take the risk and I left my 6'8" at home. That means I am guaranteed to get a good swell. I did bring my 6'6" square tail and my 6'5" swallow tail, both Tim Stamps Surfboards,
The first leg was to Houston then with only enough time to get a sandwich, I was back on the plane on my way to Panama.
I am staying at the Las Vegas Suits in Panama City for about 10 hours then I have to catch my Air Panama flight to the Bocas del Toro. Here an important tip!!!! The commuter flights to the Bocas are out of a different airport. Something I didn't learn until I got here.
I was going to post some pictures but its about 90 and 100% humidity so my cameras are fogged up. Once they acclimate I will post a couple.
The Las Vegas Suites are reasonably priced at $70/night. The is a restuarant (sp? I'm tired) wine bar inside so I'm heading down for a bite and a beverage. I check back in later.
